The itinerary card is an idea that someone came up with because, when it comes to weddings, there is a lot of planning. Several accompanying events (like the reception), and a time table to keep in mind. These will often be given to the bridal party and family first, out of town guests second, and then sometimes to all of the guests. Of course sizing, design, and such, are entirely variable depending on what the couple wants. The guest basket is an idea the cropped up as a way for couples to show their appreciation for those guests who have traveled to their wedding. There are sometimes other names for this- "out of towner basket" for one. These can be akin to any type of gift basket, and will often include some informational packet about the town/city where the wedding is taking place, the wedding, and such.
I was just finishing up an order of itinerary cards for a customer when it occurred to me that this is a good example of how an itinerary card could be incorporated into a wedding. These 4.25x2.5 inch itinerary cards have punched holes, and will be included with the guest baskets this couple will be giving their guests. All in a all, a cute way to personalize the gift baskets a bit, and providing useful information for the guests.
